UNION SQUARE
NEW YORK

Wanting to leave the Upper East Side, this family of four settled upon the open living spaces that a downtown loft could provide. As the layers of the previous renovation were peeled away the original space’s inherent warm characteristics were revealed.

The full floor loft, having a southern exposure, was a great opportunity to have the kitchen and dining areas bathed in light—the heart of the family home. The center of the apartment, notoriously darker, is reserved for more nighttime activities: family movies and games of pool.
